Asyst Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASYT), a leading supplier of integrated automation systems that enhance semiconductor and flat panel display manufacturing productivity, announced today that its 200mm products have been selected by multiple semiconductor fabs including EM Microelectronic of Switzerland, Shanghai Huahong NEC Electronics Co., Ltd (HHNEC) of China and additional semiconductor fabs in China and Russia. The aggregate multi-million dollar orders include SMIF loadports, indexers and wafer stockers.

Designed to fulfill the specific needs of animal identification, waste management, industrial logistics, and access control applications, the EM4205/4305 RFID ICs comply with ISO 11784/11785 standards while offering an extending reading range. The parts measure well below 1 mm2 and feature 512-bit EEPROM (organized in 16 words of 32 bit), 32-bit UID, 32-bit password read/write protection, and multipurpose data rates ranging from 8, 16, 32, and 64 RF clocks.
Both provide resonant capacitor versions of 210 pF or 250 pF selectable by mask option, while the EM4305 also offers a 330-pF version. Frequency range is from 100 to 150 kHz and temperature range is from –40° to 85°C. ($0.20 ea/100,000—available now.)
