EM9301 Single-Cell Battery Bluetooth Low Energy Controller for Single-Mode Applications
The EM9301 is a single-mode Master/Slave controller optimized for low voltage and low energy systems such as wireless sensors, wireless remote controls and wireless monitoring. With operating supply voltage as low as 0.8V, the circuit allows applications to take advantage of a wide range of common single-cell batteries or of energy harvesters such as solar cells, piezo-electric and electro-magnetic elements.

The EM9301 is fully compliant with Bluetooth V4.0 specification adopted by the Bluetooth SIG. It is a single-mode and master-slave Bluetooth low energy qualified solution, providing full Bluetooth low energy functionality from the radio up to the host controller interface (HCI).

Due to its state-of-the-art architecture, the EM9301 can be interfaced with any 8, 16 or 32bit host controller, which allows much better cost/performance optimized solutions than comparable products with fully integrated and often overpowered host controllers.

SCALOPES - an ARTEMIS project on SCalable LOw Power Embedded platformS
ASICentrum belongs to 39 partners from 12 countries that participated in Scalopes project running from January 1, 2009 until December 31, 2010.

The project focused on cross-domain technology and tool developments for multi-core architectures. These developments were driven by and proven for 4 different application domains: communication infrastructure, surveillance systems, smart mobile terminals and stationary video systems. Focus in the technology developments was on application & programming models, composability, dependability, reliability, predictable system design, resource management and tools supporting these new developments. As much as possible generic cross-domain tools and architectures were worked upon, but also application-specific extensions were covered. The project focused on enhancing as much as possible the generic aspects by means of identifying how cross-domain reference platforms are made.

On October 19, 2011 the opponency of czech participation on the project took place. Results achieved by the project were agreed as well as the financial means consumed. Scalopes project was oficially closed.

EM6420 - Capacitive Touch Sensor Interface IC with CURRENT CONSUMPTION 8.5µA @ 3V IN ACTIVE MODE ONLY !!!
The EM6420 can detect all sensors or the most active sensor in applications where sensors are tightly spaced. To scan more than 16 sensors, several EM6420 can be used in parallel. The device parameters are configurable either from a host microcontroller through a communication port or through configuration inputs. The chip can communicate through several interfaces: 4-wire SPI, I2C, 4-bit parallel interface. The direct output mode is useful for applications without microcontrollers.
The chip starts working at 1.2V. The supply range is selectable by pin; 1.2V to 2.0V or 2.2V to 3.6V are the two configurable voltage ranges. The power consumption 8.5µA @ 3V in active mode is 100 times less than for comparable circuits currently available.

Sophisticated methods of the analog and mixed-signal circuits design in sub-micron technologies
ASICentrum is co-responsible for solving of the research project GA 102/07/1186 of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic entitled "Sophisticated methods of the analog and mixed-signal circuits design in sub-micron technologies".
The project is realized in the period 2007-2009 and is being solved in a close co-operation with the co-ordinator which is the reseach group of the Circuits and Systems Laboratory at the Department of Circuit Theory FEE CTU Prague. The main goal of the project is to streamline the design of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit blocks used in signal pre-conditioning circuits (such as electrical filters, amplifiers, A/D converters) and ultra low power applications.
The Maple software as well as professional CAD tools from Cadence and Mentor Graphics are used for effective solving of this project.
