DIGITAL DESIGN
Experience in digital design :
- RFID - low power, including integrated passive uC
- telecommunication - SDH, PCM, DTMF, ISDN
- cryptography - DES and other algorithms
- industry application - collective remote control, heat consumption
measuring
- DSP - audio application, filters
- processors - micros, communication circuits
Design and realization flow
Finished design is evaluated in programmable circuits in the majority
of digital projects. This can be also final solution in the case
of smaller series. At larger series the conversion
to mask programmable gate arrays or standard cells is realized.
According to technical parameters and production quantity a convenient
production technology is choosen.
Design process, evaluation and following production of digital
circuits step by step in ASICentrum :
1. DESIGN SPECIFICATION
- customer's development assignment
- creation of the circuit specification
2. SYSTEM DESIGN
- choice of design architecture
- definition of blocks and their function, IP
cores choice
3. LOGICAL DESIGN
4. DFT DESIGN
- design methodology choice for DFT
- automatic test pattern generation
5. PROTOTYPING - FPGAs & CPLDs
- synthesis (Leonardo
Spectrum)
- implementation - placement and routing (XILINX)
- evaluation of samples (measuring and testing)
- prototyping series programming
6. CONVERSION
- synthesis for chosen technology (Synopsys, Cadence)
- testing vectors creation
- tape-out and data transport to the silicon foundry
7. PRODUCTION
- measuring and testing of samples after conversion
- mass production
